Born in Bonn, raised between Germany, France and Belgium. After her Abitur at the European School in Brussels (German section), she studied medicine at the Université Catholique de Louvain (UCL) in Belgium, graduating cum laude. She then completed her specialist training in General Medicine at UCL (2001–2004).

In 2004 she moved to Madrid. For more than 15 years she worked as a specialist in General Medicine in Spain, most recently at MC Mutual (2004–2019) as senior consultant for the clinics in Extremadura and Castile and León. Focus areas: occupational accident medicine, ultrasound diagnostics (more than 1,200 examinations per year since 2010, plus internal continuing education) and the care of German-, French- and English-speaking patients.

Advanced training in ultrasound diagnostics with SEECO certificates I and II (Spanish equivalent of DEGUM) and a Master's in „Peritaje y valoración de daños corporales" (expert assessment of bodily injuries, University of Barcelona).

Fluent in four languages — German (native), French, Spanish and English — history-taking and consultation in all four languages.
