Shared-practice arrangement for physicians
If you want to work independently in outpatient care without building rooms, reception and digital workflows from scratch, a shared-practice arrangement can be a cleanly separated model. At Grüneburgweg 12 in Frankfurt’s Westend, independent practices share a framework, aim to complement one another in medical care and have room for further specialties.
Legal form
What defines your practice stays separate: authorization, billing, records. What supports it is shared: rooms, team, technology.
A shared-practice arrangement (Praxisgemeinschaft) is not a joint professional practice (Gemeinschaftspraxis). You run your own practice with your own practice authorization (Zulassung), your own billing, your own patient records and your own decisions.
Rooms, reception, team, equipment, appointment scheduling and digital infrastructure are shared. Legally, the decisive point is that there is no joint billing and no shared patient identity.
That makes collaboration organisationally closer, while medically and legally the practices remain separate.
Outpatient work
Three questions decide it: how much do you want to decide yourself, how much do you want to invest — and how much structure should already be in place?
Outpatient work can grow out of hospital work, employed work in a medical care center (MVZ), participation by a statutory contract physician (Vertragsarzt) in an MVZ, a solo practice, a joint professional practice arrangement (Berufsausübungsgemeinschaft) or a shared-practice arrangement.
Each model distributes independence, risk, investment, administration and team differently. The shared-practice arrangement is one option among several if you want to decide independently while using existing infrastructure.

The site
The practice center has been based in Frankfurt’s Westend since 2019 and at Grüneburgweg 12 since 2025: nine specialties under one roof, plus a second location at Bockenheimer Landstraße 33, also in the Westend.
The site brings together general medicine, internal medicine, ENT, gynecology, urology, neurology, physiotherapy, psychotherapy and surgery. There are also external collaborations in cardiology, ophthalmology and physiotherapy.
Grüneburgweg 12 is at Grüneburgweg U-Bahn station (U1/U2/U3/U8), Bockenheimer Landstraße 33 at Westend station (U6/U7).
Several practices and therapeutic services under one roof.
Grüneburgweg 12 and Bockenheimer Landstraße 33, both in Frankfurt’s Westend.
Cardiology, ophthalmology and physiotherapy are connected externally.
Infrastructure
The things that support day-to-day practice are shared: reception, telephone, appointment scheduling, lab, equipment, team and languages.
The team takes calls, organises registration and appointments, and knows the workflows and locations. German, English, French, Spanish and Russian are spoken on site.
We clarify at the start, openly and transparently, which specialist equipment you need yourself and how the shared costs are distributed.
Your specialty-specific equipment and your own billing system. The organisational foundation is already in place.
Registration, telephone and first contact during day-to-day operations.
Central workflows with digital booking and a well-practised organisation.
Existing diagnostics and equipment where they fit the respective specialty.
A team with experience on site and multilingual communication.
Digital workflows
The digital workflow runs from first contact through appointment, registration, findings, follow-up and communication to aftercare.
The advantage is the continuous process: organisational information is available where it is needed, and workflows are already established in daily work.
Record keeping remains separate for each practice. The infrastructure is shared, not patient data.
The workflows have been running on site for years. You join an established organisation instead of building it.
Who we are looking for
We are looking for colleagues who want to work independently and whose medicine complements care delivery on site.
If you feel your specialty fits the site, get in touch. There is no fixed list — what matters is the professional conversation.
Medicine that is not yet represented on site or meaningfully extends the existing range.
Own practice authorization, own billing, own decisions — within shared infrastructure.
A conversation, then a morning on site. Both are non-binding.
Contact
Briefly tell us who you are, which specialty you come from and what interests you about the shared-practice arrangement. We will get back to you personally and clarify whether a conversation or a morning on site makes sense.
Phone 069 247 574 523 or email praxis@westend-hausarzt.de. A call-back at a time that suits you works just as well.

We will get back to you personally.
