Eye-Check
Eye-Check — AI-supported retinal screening for early detection of diabetic and vascular changes at the eye.
For the Eye-Check we take a high-resolution image of your retina. A medically certified AI platform analyses the image and detects early signs of diabetic retinopathy — one of the most common causes of vision loss in working age, which often develops for years without symptoms. Other changes at the back of the eye that may indicate systemic disease are also captured.
The examination takes only a few minutes, is contactless and painless. Pupil-dilating drops are generally not required, so you can see normally and drive again immediately after the appointment. We discuss any findings with you in person and, if needed, refer you in a targeted manner to an ophthalmologist for further work-up.
The Eye-Check is particularly useful in diabetes mellitus type 1 or 2, persistently elevated blood pressure or a family history of eye disease. At the end of the examination you receive your personal findings report.
