Immunprofil
Billions of white blood cells patrol your bloodstream, and your bone marrow keeps producing new immune cells. The Immunprofil shows whether your defence is complete and well supplied.
Your immune system is not an organ but a network — bone marrow, spleen, lymph nodes, gut, skin. In the blood it can be put into numbers: the five classes of white blood cells each take on their own tasks, from the rapid response force to the memory store. The immunoglobulins (IgA, IgG, IgM, IgE) are the antibody fleets for mucous membranes, long-term protection, first contact and allergy. Supply belongs to this too: without iron there is no functioning blood formation — transferrin and reticulocytes show whether resupply and production are running.
