Genetik-Beratung
Your genome is the blueprint — some 20,000 genes across three billion base pairs. But a blueprint is not a destiny: what genetic tests really deliver, where their limits lie and what consequences a result would have, we clarify in a medical consultation — before you test.
Almost every one of your cells holds about two metres of DNA, folded tightly into a nucleus a few thousandths of a millimetre across. To commercial genetic tests this blueprint is a promise — yet between “gene detectable” and “disease likely” there is often a world of probabilities, lifestyle and environment. The Genetik-Beratung sorts that out: which questions can a test answer? Which cannot it answer? And what would you do with the answer? At the end you receive a written summary — and an honest recommendation as to whether further diagnostics make sense.
Who it is for
Before a planned genetic test, after an abnormal finding — or with a family clustering of illnesses that you would like to have put in context.
