The bacterium Haemophilus influenzae serotype b.
Droplet infection.
Mainly in infants: meningitis, severe epiglottitis with risk of suffocation, sepsis.
Conjugate vaccine, combined with tetanus/diphtheria/pertussis/polio/HepB as a 6-fold vaccine.
All infants. Adults only after splenectomy/immune deficiency once.
Booster: Keine Auffrischung nach Grundimmunisierung. Nach Splenektomie ggf. einmalig.
