Close physical contact, sexual contact, droplets.
Fever, lymph-node swelling, vesicular rash (preferentially anogenital). Usually self-limiting, severe courses in the immunocompromised.
Modified vaccinia Ankara vaccine (MVA-BN, Jynneos/Imvanex), 2 doses.
Men who have sex with men showing risk behaviour; lab personnel; post-exposure prophylaxis within 14 days of contact.
Booster: Indikation: Männer, die Sex mit Männern haben und Risikoverhalten zeigen; Laborpersonal; Postexpositionsprophylaxe innerhalb 14 Tage nach Kontakt.
