Clinical picture
Painful swelling of the parotid glands, fever. Complications: orchitis with infertility, hearing loss, meningitis.
Vaccine protection
MMR live vaccine (together with measles and rubella).
Who should be vaccinated?
All children. Adults with unclear status: MMR vaccination.
Vaccination schedule (STIKO)
- 1. Dosis (11 Monate)
- 2. Dosis (15 Monate)
Booster: Keine Auffrischung nach 2 dokumentierten Dosen MMR.
