High fever, cough, runny nose, characteristic rash. Complications: otitis, pneumonia, feared: encephalitis (1:1,000) and SSPE (delayed sequela after years, always fatal).
MMR live vaccine, very effective and safe.
All children. Adults born after 1970 with unclear status: one MMR dose. Measles Protection Act: mandatory for nursery/school admission.
